What Determines Adult Size
Adult size is influenced mainly by the size of the Poodle parent (Toy or Miniature) and genetics inherited from both parent lines. Puppies from the same litter can still vary somewhat in final adult size.
General Growth Guide
- 8-12 weeks: Typically 1.5-3kg
- 3-6 months: Rapid growth phase, reaching roughly 50-70% of adult weight
- 6-9 months: Growth slows; most of adult height is reached
- 9-12 months: Approaching full adult weight and size
- 12+ months: Fully grown; Toy Cavoodles typically 6-8kg, Mini Cavoodles typically 8-12kg

Supporting Healthy Growth
Feed an appropriate small-breed puppy food, avoid over-supplementing calcium or other nutrients without veterinary guidance, and keep exercise moderate during the rapid growth phase to protect developing joints.
