Cavoodles' curly, dense coats can trap heat, so summer care matters. Keep walks to early morning or evening during hot months, ensure constant access to shade and fresh water, and never leave a dog in a parked car, even briefly. Regular grooming also helps manage heat by preventing matting, which traps warmth against the skin.

Thanks to their moderate size and energy levels, Cavoodles are one of the better-suited breeds for apartment living in Sydney, Melbourne and other Australian cities - provided their daily exercise and enrichment needs are still met. A tired, well-exercised Cavoodle is generally a calm, quiet apartment companion.
