Meet Chloe Rose Amery
Chloe's Cavoodles began the way most good breeding programs do - with a genuine love of one particular dog. In 2016, Chloe Rose Amery brought home a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy named Bella, and quickly fell for the breed's soft, devoted nature. Living on a family property in Mulyandry, New South Wales, Chloe had the space, the setting and - most importantly - the time to consider what ethical, responsible dog breeding should actually look like.
What followed was years of research: studying health testing protocols, connecting with mentor breeders, understanding the genetics behind the Cavalier-Poodle cross, and slowly building the knowledge needed to breed Cavoodles the right way rather than the fast way. Chloe whelped her first litter in 2018, and has been refining her small, family-based breeding program ever since.
Our Property in Mulyandry, NSW
Our home sits on a quiet rural property in Mulyandry, part of the Central West region of New South Wales - close enough to regional centres for regular veterinary care, yet peaceful enough for our dogs to enjoy space, fresh air and a genuinely relaxed pace of life. Litters are whelped indoors in a dedicated, temperature-controlled whelping area, then gradually introduced to the wider household as they grow: the kitchen, the lounge room, the garden, and eventually the sounds and bustle of everyday family life. We believe this environment - not a shed, not an outdoor kennel row - produces calmer, more adaptable puppies who are ready for life in a real Australian home from the day they leave us.
Our Breeding Philosophy
We keep our breeding program deliberately small. Rather than maximising the number of litters we produce each year, we prioritise:
- The wellbeing of our parent dogs - adequate rest between litters, quality nutrition, and a genuinely loving home life alongside their role as parents.
- Genuine health testing - DNA testing, hip and patella screening, and annual eye certification for our Cavalier lines, because a healthy puppy starts with healthy, well-screened parents.
- Early, deliberate socialisation - daily handling from birth, gradual exposure to household sounds, gentle car trips, different surfaces and textures, and time with children and visitors.
- Honest matching, not upselling - we would rather tell a family that a particular puppy or breed might not suit their household than make a sale that doesn't work out for the dog or the family.
Our Breeding Dogs
Our breeding program is built around a small number of purebred Poodle sires and purebred Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dams, each individually health tested and chosen as much for temperament as for coat and colour. We are always happy to share health testing records and introduce prospective families to our parent dogs where they are available to meet - transparency is not an inconvenience to us, it is the entire point.
Milestones
2016
Chloe brings home her first Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Bella, and falls in love with the breed's gentle, people-focused nature.
2018
After years of researching ethical breeding practices and completing mentorships with experienced Cavoodle breeders, Chloe whelps her first litter at the family property in Mulyandry, NSW.
2020
Chloe's Cavoodles becomes a full-time focus, with a small, deliberately limited breeding program built around health testing, temperament and family-raised socialisation.
2023
Demand grows across NSW, VIC, QLD and WA, and Chloe begins coordinating interstate placements and pet-safe flights for families outside driving distance.
Today
Chloe's Cavoodles continues to raise a small number of litters each year inside the family home, with every puppy vet-checked, vaccinated, wormed and matched carefully to the right family.
Meet Our Breeding Dogs
Our program is built around a small, closely managed group of purebred Toy and Miniature Poodle sires and purebred Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dams. Each dog lives as a genuine family pet first and a breeding dog second - sleeping inside, socialising with visitors, and enjoying plenty of downtime between litters. We select each pairing deliberately, weighing health testing results, structural soundness, coat type and, just as importantly, temperament - a nervous or reactive parent is far more likely to produce puppies who inherit that same uncertainty, so temperament testing is never an afterthought in our program.
A Typical Day at Chloe's Cavoodles
Life on our Mulyandry property follows the unhurried rhythm of regional NSW. Mornings start early with feeding, fresh bedding and a check-in on any current litter, followed by garden time while the older dogs enjoy a walk around the property. Puppies are handled individually multiple times a day - not just as a group - so each one gets genuine one-on-one attention during the critical early weeks. Afternoons often bring visiting families, video calls with interstate applicants, or simply time spent quietly observing the puppies at play, which tells us more about each one's emerging personality than almost anything else.

- Honesty over sales pitches. We would rather lose a sale than oversell a puppy or a breed that isn't the right fit for a family.
- Small over scaled. We deliberately cap the number of litters we breed each year so quality of care never slips.
